Your Devices are like your College. And the games or Apps you run are like classes you take.

All the other available anti-cheats in the market are like the teachers in examination hall. Some try their best to prevent cheating and some are there cause the Colleges has to have a teacher in the examination hall.

But Riots Vanguard is completely Different.

It’s not your teacher that observe you from a distance and leaves once the examination is over.

It’s More like the chair you sit on with an 8 inch Dil**o attached to it. It’ll go as deep as it can.

It won’t leave even when the class is over. It’ll keep breathing down your neck.

Only once you leave the College It’ll let you go. And if you try to come back it’ll be there waiting for you. At the entrance.

You can Refuse to sit on the chair. But then you can’t attend their classes. But at the end atlas you have an illusion of choice.

Hey But at-least it stops the Cheaters. And that’s what matters. Right?

But it’s their game they can do whatever they want. If you don’t like it. Don’t play it. Simple. - Some random guy on the internet

The problem with “you don’t like don’t play” approach is that tomorrow there will be even more invasive anti-cheats. And you won’t have any choice but to accept it. This should not be the NORM.

I understand why it needs ring 0 access. But It should not be running when the game is not running.

BuT ThE ChEaTeRs GeT BaNNeD EvEnTuAlLy. So It’S WoRtH iT.

Cheats can be created and Used Even when the vanguard is RUNNING ALL THE TIME IN THE BACKGROUND. SO WHY NOT JUST RUN IT WHEN THE GAME IS RUNNING. WHAT”S DIFF IT”S GONNA MAKE???

I am mad just because I had trouble dual booting. If I turn off secure boot and TPM Vanguard starts to cry like a lil b*tch.

If it’s a be-all end all of an anti cheat then sure. It’s a valid trade off. But it’s not. It’s just another anti-cheat. And it’s not even the best one. It’s just the most invasive one.

Problems I have with Vanguard:

• Either it’s always Running and scanning my system having access to everything.
• Or it runs all the time but only scans when the game is running. But then it’s not doing anything. It’s just there. Taking up resources. and if i quit i need a system restart.

Tomorrow if RIOT want they can SEE everything I DO from my PC. And I can’t do anything about it. Hell i won’t even know about it. I don’t trust ANY company with that level of access to my systems.

EVERYDAY I HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT I HAVE TO EXIT VANGUARD IF I DON”T WANA PLAY THEIR GAMES. AND If i am working and feel like taking a break and quick TDMS match. I have to restart my system. CLOSE WHATEVER I WAS WORKING ON. JUST TO PLAY A GAME. or i’ll have to let vanguard run in the background. ALL THE TIME
